We invite you to the first Flamenco Evening after the break! On the last Sunday of June we recommend you to relax in the best company of Andalusian notes and delicious dishes and drinks in Vertigo! The following artists will perform on the stage: dancer Anna "Samira" Mendak (Poland), vocalist Borja Soto (Spain) and guitarist Rainer Maria Nero (Austria).
 
Anna Mendak “Samira”
Belly and flamenco dancer, psychologist by profession. For over 25 years, she has performed on stage in various artistic projects as "Samira," giving countless shows in both dance styles. She is one of the precursors and the most known and respected dancers as well as flamenco and oriental dance instructors in Poland. She runs courses and workshops for the invitation of many dance schools throughout the country and during the most significant dance festivals in the country and abroad. In the years 2008–2009 she was the artistic director of the 'Nova Orient' Belly Dance Festival in Katowice. In 2015, she was the choreographer of the main heroine of the Egyptian fairy tale series "Arabian Nights" broadcast by Arab TV. Together with some bands and solo she performed at many folk, guitar and dance festivals, she has repeatedly appeared on the radio and television.
 
Borja Soto is currently the only Spanish flamenco singer living in Poland, from Seville. He has been performing in Poland since 2013 in various formations during such events as: Unfinished European House / Songs as part of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016 cycle, Jazz at the Palace – Moszna Castle, Duende Festival in Poznań, Polish Dance Platform, Folk Inspirations Łódź, Ethno Jazz Festival Wrocław, European Capital of Culture – Inauguration 2016, Music Festival in Bukowiec, International Folklore Festival in Zielona Góra, BRAVE Together. Artistic director of the Flamenco Evenings concert series.
 
Rainer Maria Nero is an Austrian-Polish guitarist, composer and lecturer. In the years 2008-2011 he studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna under the direction of the excellent Alexander Swete. In the years 2014-2016 he studied in Murcia (Spain) under the guidance of flamenco guitarist Carlos Piñana, with whom he has played concerts all over the world since. In 2015, the artist released his debut album Castles of Spain, maintained in a classic style. Two years later, together with the band Flamensky he founded, he created the flamenco album Fantasias y Danzas, which contains only his own compositions. In October 2019 he has released another album entitled Conmover.
