David Peña Dorantes is an artist who was raised from a young age among the sounds of the purest flamenco at the highest level, in one of the most important towns for flamenco, which is Lebrija. He comes from a rich line of famous Andalusian flamenco artists, such as his uncle Juan Peña "El Lebrijano" or his grandmother "La Perrata", as well as his father - guitarist and flamenco encyclopedist Pedro Peña. However, in addition to his strong flamenco roots, Dorantes studied at the Conservatory in Seville to broaden his musical horizons. His natural understanding of his own culture, combined with his extraordinary talent and thorough education, allow him to forge new, previously unknown artistic paths. That is why critics often call him "Paco de Lucía of the keys", which is true, but for better understanding and identification by the audience in Poland, we prefer to call him "Chopin of flamenco", both for his virtuosity on the keys and for his compositional mastery.

Dorantes' creativity was supported by inspirations of the highest caliber, such as the works of Prokofiev, Avishai Cohen, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Debussy, Bach, Hiromi Uehara, Clara Wieck, as well as Gregorian chants, Caribbean music and jazz. His first album, released in 1998 and entitled "Orobroy", became a sensation in the world of flamenco and a huge inspiration for many other artists. The concert, which will take place as part of the CITY OF DWARFS Festival, will be the only one in Poland, and will be part of an international tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of the aforementioned album!

The line-up is completed by the prestigious dancer Pastora Galván, cantaor Manuel de la Tomasa and percussionist Sergio Fargas, who, like Dorantes, come from families of renowned flamenco artists.
