In March, we invite you on a journey into the world of flamenco according to French artists: guitarist Anatole Elichégaray and dancer Paulina Mendes. The extraordinary artistry and real spirit of flamenco will make you spend an extraordinary evening in Vertigo. The uniqueness of this event is added by the fact that both artists will perform in Poland for the first time! Along with them, the Spanish singer Borja Soto will appear on stage.

Anatole Elichégaray is a guitarist who, after a period of his own study and stay in Andalusia in contact with the world and culture of flamenco, quickly began to perform with many flamenco artists and created several formations in different musical styles. He founded the Concuerdas group in 2010 in Paris, combining Bolivian charango and jazz formation in a repertoire based mainly on original compositions, and then began to take part in various artistic projects, creating, for example, musical creations for the theater, participating as a musician and arranger in the trio di Maccio (World Jazz Songs), producing, arranging and collaborating on several discographic works. Created in 2017, the guitar duet Michelet-Elichégaray, in addition to their own compositions, is rediscovering the repertoire of J.S. Bach, Debussy, De Falla and Bartok. These various artistic projects meant that he performed and taught master classes in many European countries. His first solo album "Glorivendi" was released in 2013. Co-produced by drummer Cepillo, he presents 9 compositions with the participation of several guest artists, including Diego del Morao, Jesus Méndez, and Concha Jareño. The album was presented, among others at the Mont-de-Marsan festival in 2014. In 2017 he won the first prize at the International Flamenco Guitar Competition in Albi, and a year later the third prize in Seville.

Paulina Mendes has been passionate about music and dance since childhood. In 2014, she decided to live in Seville (Spain) to learn the art of flamenco with the greatest musicians and dancers. After completing the famous Centro del Arte y de Flamenco de Miguel Vargas y Esperanza Fernandez in Seville, she continued to develop her dance skills with great artists such as Ana Morales, Maria Moreno, Carmen Ledesma, El Oruco, La Moneta or Irene La Sentio. The result of contact with dance masters and various influences is her own dance style, oscillating between tradition and modernity. Paulina develops an international career on various theater and tablaos stages in France, Germany and Spain, especially in Seville, where she collaborates on various artistic projects.

Borja Soto is currently the only Spanish flamenco singer living in Poland, from Seville. He has been performing in Poland since 2013 in various formations during such events as: Unfinished European House / Songs as part of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016 cycle, Jazz at the Palace - Moszna Castle, Duende Festival in Poznań, Polish Dance Platform, Folk Inspirations Łódź, Ethno Jazz Festival Wrocław, European Capital of Culture - inauguration 2016, Music Festival in Bukowiec, International Folklore Festival in Zielona Góra, BRAVE Together.
