Step in a dancing way into the new year 2023 with the JACARAS ensemble! In accordance with the spirit of the carnival, the band will play dances and songs from the Baroque era, which have been arranged for modern instruments. Interesting arrangements, an entertaining repertoire and the joy of creating are the most important assets of this international group founded in Wrocław. It's worth spending this Thursday evening with us.

Jacaras is a unique music ensemble, because it uses modern instruments to perform early music. The musicians perform mainly dances and songs from Spain and Latin America from the 17th and 18th centuries in their own arrangements. This repertoire provided the basis for the development of today's popular music in many countries, especially the flamenco genre. The band also uses elements of Latin American music, mainly Mexican, as well as recently developed Sephardic songs.
Although baroque music is often associated with the monumental Bach, the Jacaras group breaks the spell of this stereotype by revealing to today's listeners a different face of this era. In addition, by playing contemporary classical guitars, the musicians want to emphasize the correlation with the music that surrounds us today.
