Classical Guitar Competition
ROUND II of the Guitar Masters 2016 competition consists of a short recital performed live in front of the Jury and the audience of the National Forum of Music in Wrocław. The second round might be entered by no less than 36 and no more than 40 contestants, selected from among the participants of Round I. The repertoire must include one obligatory piece, a composition by Marek Pasieczny titled PHOSPHENES (the only piece that can be played from a score during the GM2016 competition), and a free-choice program. The allowed performance duration is from 20 to 25 minutes.
ROUND III (Final) consists of a 40-minute to 45-minute recital. 9 to 12 best contestants, selected from among the participants of Round II, will enter the Final. The repertoire is of free choice. The verdict of the Jury depends on the overall performance. Evaluation criteria for the Jury are: the choice of repertoire, technical rendition, appearance on stage and contact with an audience.

Fingerstyle Competition

The repertoire must include one obligatory piece, any composition or arrangement by Tommy Emmanuel, and a free-choice program. The allowed performance duration is from 20 to 25 minutes.
